The Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., addressed the Food and Medicines Administration (FDA) to review their food security guidelines and promote “radical transparency” in what enters the food of Americans, according to a statement from the agency on Monday.
The FDA said it would eliminate the road for companies to self -affirm the safety of their products outside the agency’s jurisdiction.

“For too long, manufacturers and sponsors of ingredients have exploited an escape that has allowed new ingredients and chemicals, often with unknown security data, which are introduced into the US food supply. UU. Without notification to the FDA or the public,” said RFK Jr. in the statement.
“Eliminating this escape will provide transparency to consumers, will help the food supply of our nation to direct again by ensuring that the ingredients that are introduced into food are safe and, ultimately, make the United States again healthy,” he added.
